Grill

Once again in the flower conservatory in Golden Gate Park. I couldn't help but notice the neat drainage slots in the ground that had this cool pattern on them. I really like how this one turned out. One of the best parts is the seemingly glowing edges around the center square.

Daily Picture #33

By now I'm sure you've realized that my posts aren't quite daily. I'm trying to keep up though. It's just tough when it feels like there's no one out there. It's also tough to make time these days. I was busy all yesterday morning with chores around the house, and then I was gone all afternoon in the city doing some scouting for spots for a project I'm working on with a film studio right now; a commercial for a parkour shoe company. That ate up a huge amount of my day. No complaints though...

Sorry about the aside. My main point is that I'm busy now that I'm out of high school.

- Reflection

I love the lines and geometry here of the roof. It's great because of the stillness of the water and the colors of everything. The set that this goes with is one of the collections I'm most happy with. The day where I took all these pictures I really felt I was getting better as a photographer (admittedly still amateur, but it's fun, and I feel that I'm progressing).

- Teardrop

The glass here is really neat. I have a few different versions of this picture taken with differing exposures and white balances. This on is my favorite though...

- Floating Contraption

It's neat to note that the ceiling here isn't black, but dark midnight blue. It's in a hotel in Half Moon Bay. The light fixture was so interesting, and looked very cool with the molding in the background along the ceiling. Because of the perspective and the dark ceiling, it looks like it's almost floating, hence the name.

This is another picture I never titled. The colors are amazing, and the lines of the trellis looks nice against the bland sky. Mostly a neat color shot here. Not much else. - Enjoy

- Silverware

I like the gold of the sunlight reflecting here. The tablecloth pattern once again is neat, and the leaf right next to the spoon adds some interest. My favorite part of the shot is the design on the hilts of the pieces. Cool stuff.

- Plate

If ever there was a picture to view in a larger size, this is it. The sharpness and detail of this shot are lost in smaller sizes. So many things I love about this shot: The shadow in the plate, the detailed texture of the napkin, the silver rim of the plate, the design, the pattern of the tablecloth, how the top left corner looks flared... So many neat things going on. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

- Thanksgiving Leaf

I really like the setup here, the reflection in the top left and the bricks opposite. The glow of the sunlight on the leaf was captured really well.
